🥶Winter in an RV?🥶 📌Save this 📌 [SP0NS0RED] 👗Skirt your RV! 🔌50 amp Hookups: Hopefully you have 50amp in order to run the space heaters that you will need. 🔥Propane Filled: trust me, you don’t want to wake up without heat in this freeze. Your propane will go fast…so make sure you’re topped off. 💩Gray and Black tanks: Disconnect after dumping. Some people recommend anti freeze, but it’s not legal to dump this down drains. RV antifreeze ok 💦Fill fresh water 3/4 full: Not too full in case it actually freeezes (it needs room to expand). Disconnect hose and bring inside or use insulated hose 🕳️Tape Over Holes around outside of RV: this will prevent wind and drafts coming up and counteracting your heat source. 🪟Fill gaps and cover windows inside: Use blankets, rugs, and towels to cover the floor and spots that have drafts. Use clear window shrink film insulation or hang blankets over windows. 🌡️Use an underbelly thermostat: You can buy one on Amazon. It helps to know the temperature under the RV to know how much heat you need down there to keep it from freezing. 🔥Use electric space heaters: We use one in each room of the RV. Dry heat is better than wet propane heat inside to prevent moisture. Take safety precautions and don’t leave on when you leave. They may be used in underbelly if your tanks completely freeze. Be sure to monitor closely. 💧Fill pitchers of water: Your tanks might freeze and you will still want to make coffee and brush your teeth when you wake up. Be sure to set aside water the night before just in case. 😓Use dehumidifier: Necessary for moisture reduction. ⛽️If power goes out, a generator will be necessary! Fill your generator gas in advance or have extra fuel on hand. Grab your slippers and flannel PJs.
